Canopy Cafe

Canopy Café, once a familiar name at Marina Bay Golf Course, has now found a new home at Katong V. The airy space is bright, casual, and a convenient stop for hearty local fare.

We dropped by for dinner and were greeted with a menu full of zi char classics – comforting dishes perfect for sharing with family or friends.

What We Tried

JB Fried Bee Hoon

A signature dish that arrived with a beautiful golden sear. Fragrant, smoky, and well-fried, it carried that unmistakable wok hei and paired wonderfully with sambal on the side.

Seafood Hor Fun

Silky flat noodles swimming in rich egg gravy, topped generously with prawns, clams, and even oysters. The flavours were clean yet satisfying – a homely dish elevated by fresh seafood.

Fried Kway Teow

Charred just right, with prawns, egg, and crunchy bean sprouts. A plate that instantly reminded us why this hawker favourite never goes out of style.

Prawn Paste Chicken

No zi char meal is complete without this. The wings were crisp on the outside, juicy inside, and paired with a tangy chilli dip that kept us reaching for more.
